The one above shows a section of the Milwaukee river at the town of Newburg. According to a person I spoke that morning, the boat visible on the pic had sank some 20 years ago, only to be "returned" by the river in what it has been (and still is) one of the worst droughts on Wisconsin. This picture was taken on July 1st, however the water you see on it has reduced its volume to a third for what I saw last Tuesday. The boat did "disappear" too.  I just hope we get some rain soon (at least 3 days of it).

Meanwhile, as I keep processing the images from the last couple of weeks, I prepare myself for another river. Tomorrow early morning Dawn and I will be heading west again, in a short road trip through the state of Wisconsin. This time, will be heading all the way to see the corner where the Wisconsin river meets the Mississippi river.

Looking forward to this trip, to spend some time together, and also to explore a little more about the state on my first trip to the west of it. I have marked as usual couple of highlights I want to really see (Prairie du Chien, Wyalusing Park and the Kickapoo Indian Caverns), but for the most part will be open to whatever we find. Also I decided to leave behind the digital equipment, mostly because I am taking the "box" with me and a Nikon with color film which I have not used on a very long time.

We will be back soon. See you then.
