"Untitled" (Newburg, WI)

I started reading last week a book on Walker Evans, titled the "The Hungry Eye" so the picture above which I took yesterday early morning, took me for a moment to his work. It is a nice Americana Postcard I took on the small Wisconsin town of Newburg, 10 minutes away from where I live. It is a really nice picture for several reasons I think, despite the beautiful 6 in the morning light, the picture is almost completely atemporal (except for the light bulb on the front door) and the fact that it is full of lines as I do like them, the picture it is somehow of a visually conceptual game. I present to you a picture of a window displaying artwork. I open a window to a window that shows more windows to something else. Then, you open your own door into it and walk in, always welcome.
PS_ I already "chased" some of Evans footsteps through the state of Alabama on what ended up being my "self-published" book last year which I named "Greetings from Alabama", which you can see by doing click HERE if you are interested.
